Notorious Ohio kidnapper Ariel Castro, the man who sentenced three young women to 10 years in hell on earth — plus the years of counseling they will undergo in the coming years — copped a plea to avoid the death penalty.

The barbaric reprobate has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus 1,000 years, for kidnapping three young women on Cleveland’s west side and imprisoning them under horrific conditions for almost a decade. Castro treated the women like animals, chaining them up in separate parts of the house and impregnating one and then beat her so bad that the baby died.

The women disappeared separately between 2002 and 2004, when they were 14, 16 and 20 years old. Each said they had accepted a ride from Castro. They escaped Castro’s house May 6 when one kicked out part of a door and called to neighbors for help. Castro was arrested within hours and has remained behind bars.
