*How do you tell an entire choir that they can’t sing?
This is the task facing gospel singers Michelle Williams and Deitrick Haddon each week on the new reality series “Fix My Choir,” which premieres Wednesday (Nov. 5) at 9 p.m. on Oxygen…with a New Orleans Choir on the receiving end of the bad news.
When it comes to giving singers an honest assessment of their talent, or lack thereof, “It’s all in how your delivery of the truth is,” Williams told us in an exclusive interview.
Haddon added, “How you say it to them can mean everything because you want to keep them inspired, even though you’re telling them the truth when you tell them they can’t sing.”
The show’s title says it all – Williams of Destiny’s Child fame and Haddon of “Preachers of LA” travel around to help different choirs in desperate need of fixing.
