Just as July 4th. 2014 will forever be etched in my mind as the day my beloved husband Bishop Harold I Williams transitioned from this life, January 8th 2015 will forever be embedded in the hearts and minds of the entire Gospel World. It will be remembered as the day that the iconic pioneer and legendary songwriter, producer and artist, Pastor Andrae Crouch changed time for eternity. To say the least, in his passing we have suffered a tremendous loss, but conversely he has gained an enormous reward, for to live isChrist but to die is gain.
Pastor Andrae Crouch was undeniably the greatest songwriter of our time. His songs are ageless and will live forever. For the countless songwriters he inspired, he set the standard high. Many have and will continue to emulate him, but make no mistake about it there will never ever be another Andrae Crouch!!
Sandra, I carry you and your family in my heart. Thank you for taking such good care of your brother. I genuinely loved Andrae not just for his wonderful gift to the world, but it was his kind heartedness that drew me close to him. I have often been asked who I would like to record with next. My response was always, Andrae Crouch. I didn’t get a chance to fulfill that desire, but if the Lord delays his coming I will record one of his songs.
