Cedric the Entertainer’s Mother Dies of Cancer

The mother of St. Louis native and comedian Cedric the Entertainer, Rosetta Kyles, died Sunday after a long bout with cancer.

She was at St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, where her name can be seen on a pavilion, thanks to her son.

Cedric was at the Peabody last fall to raise funds for the Rosetta Boyce Kyles Women’s Pavilion at St. Mary’s Health Center.

He said all women can now have the same care his mother received.

Funeral arrangements for Kyles have not yet been announced.
