Aretha Franklin is doing everything in her power to stop a documentary about her life from being screened at film festivals. The Queen of Soul sites that the director, who died in 2008, didn’t want the film to be used for commercial purposes.

One of the producers of the film, Alan Elliott is hopeful he’ll be able to screen to movie next week in Los Angeles, but its unclear at this time if the legal battle with Franklin will be resolved.

The film is titled, Amazing Grace, and gives an unfiltered look at a 1972 concert that Franklin gave at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church.
