Now that the four-week test run for Bishop T.D. Jakes’ talk show is over, the program is being shopped for national distribution.

Though “The T.D. Jakes Show” got off to a slow ratings start, the steady growth of its audience is a positive sign according syndicator Debmar-Mercury.

“The last two weeks were the highest rated of this test,” said co-president Ira Bernstein in an interview with Broadcasting & Cable. “And would you rather have a show where the arrows were going up or going down?”

According to Debmar-Mercury, producer of “The Wendy Williams Show,” “Family Feud,” “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns,”Jakes’ audience increased by 33% in households, 157% among women 25-54 and 160% among adults 25-54.
