Last February Cordell Broadus, or better known as Snoop Dogg’s son, signed to the UCLA football team.  In August, UCLA head coach Jim Mora announced that the wide receiver had decided to quit football and “pursue other passions in his life.”  Cordell had scholarship offers from many different schools, and the picking process was documented on the ESPN series, “Snoop & Son, a Dad’s Dream.”
Snoop Dogg recently celebrated his 44th birthday, and Cordell took to Instagram to wish his father a happy birthday.  Cordell revealed in the post, pictured above, that he played football because he thought that was the only way his father would love him.  Cordell commented on his Instagram post, “I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me and be a part of my life.  It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player.  The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words; I love you dad hope you have a great birthday.”
