Jamie Foxx is being called a hero after he helped pull a man from a burning truck on Monday night.  Brett Kyle, 32, was reportedly driving his truck at a high speed in Moorpark, California when he lost control in front of Foxx’s house.  According to the accident report, the truck traveled into a drainage ditch, then it rolled multiple times before bursting into flames.

Foxx and an off-duty EMT rushed to the aid of Kyle and helped cut him out of his seat belt.  Foxx told CNN affiliate KCAL, “As I’m getting him out, I said, You’ve got to help me get you out because I don’t want to have to leave you.”

Foxx doesn’t think there was anything heroic about his actions. He stated, “I don’t look at it as heroic.  I just look at it as … you just had to do something.”

Kyle was taken to the hospital, and treated for burns as well as head and neck trauma.  He was also arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Foxx posted a photo to Instagram last night of him hugging Kyle’s father.  Foxx said in the caption, “God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers.”  See the photo below, and read more on the story here.
