Last week a video surfaced, that has now gone viral, of comedian Katt Williams fighting with a teen after a pick-up-game of soccer. Both Williams and 17-year-old Luke Wash have been charged with disorderly conduct.
The video showed Williams punching Wash in the face, and then Wash taking Williams to the ground and putting him in a headlock. The video grabbed the attention of the Gainesville Police Sgt., Kevin Holbrook. Holbrook says an official police report was never filed, but the video and witness statements lead officials to press charges.
Wash is apparently in custody and is being charged as an adult. The Gainesville Police Department say they have spoken to Williams’ attorney, and Williams will be turning himself in at some point. His attorney also says that Williams had been playing soccer with youth as part of community service. You can read more on the story here.
