Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery on the IUPUI campus. The university tweeted a warning shortly before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, saying an armed robbery had been committed on campus.  About 20 minutes after the initial report, school officials tweeted to those on campus to “return to normal activities and report any tips to 911.” The school says the suspects were seen fleeing in an older model four-door vehicle west on New York Street. Two males, possibly in their 20s were outside the vehicle, five males were seen inside. The school is asking anyone with information to call 911.

A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle on the northwest side of Indianapolis Tuesday night. Metro police say the bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was traveling north on W. Kessler Blvd. Drive North just before 8 p.m. when they signaled to turn left, then made the turn in front of the northbound vehicle. Police say the driver of the car stayed at the scene and submitted to do a blood draw.

Although thousands of IPS students are on fall break, the district continues to feed children in need of meals. Children in Indianapolis, whether an IPS student or not, can eat free breakfast and lunch at nearly 25 city locations including the Haughville Branch Public Library, Martin Luther King Community Center and Stratford Apartments. The district’s Bus Stop Café is also scheduled to park at specific city locations like the Irvington Library. Meals will be provided for those ages 18 and under through October 13.
