The Praise Indy Report Playback: Grow Together, Indy IU’s Urban Garden Days
The Praise Indy Report moves fast, but the Playback catches every detail you might’ve missed along with exclusive insights and bonus content. It’s your go to recap for everything Thee Rita Green shared during today’s Praise Indy Report all in one place.

If you’ve ever thought about growing your own food or just needed a midweek reset, IU Indianapolis is serving up the perfect opportunity. Every Wednesday morning in July from 9 to 11 AM, the university is hosting Urban Garden Volunteer Days at their garden space near the sports complex on West 42nd Street.
This isn’t one of those stuffy programs with a million rules. It’s laid back, hands on, and built for real people who care about their community. You’ll be out there with folks from all walks of life planting, weeding, watering, and learning how to grow food right in the middle of the city. And no worries if you don’t have fancy gardening tools or gear. Just show up with a pair of gloves if you have them (they’ve got extras) and a willingness to get your hands in the dirt.
What makes this so dope is it’s more than gardening. It’s movement. It’s connection. It’s that peaceful moment in the morning where you’re doing something that actually matters. You’ll walk away knowing you added to something green and good and maybe even picked up a few tips to start your own mini garden at home.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a first timer who just wants to try something new, this is a chance to grow something with your hands and in your heart. So come out, bring a friend, and help plant the future one tomato at a time.
