Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels surprised Afternoons with Amos Host Amos Brown this week telling him he’ll be honored with The Spirit of Justice Award, at the 21st Annual Official Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday Celebration. Amos was interviewing Indiana Civil Rights Commission Executive Director Jamal Smith, when the Governor made his surprise phone call and announcement. Brown will join three other Hoosier honorees, including Purdue football great Leroy Keyes, who will be recognized for their dedication to the dream and ideals of Dr. King, at the celebration Thursday, January 12th in the Rotunda of the Indiana State House.
