Lately, Beyonce has been going back and forth to London not only to vacate with her family and tour but to handle some business. Topshop just confirmed that Bey will be partnering with the brand to create her own street/athletic wear brand. The Topshop-Beyonce collection will include pieces like clothing, accessories, footwear, and fitness gear.
Operator of Topshop, Phillip Green, explained that this is not your average collaboration that Topshop normally do with high profile celebrities but an actual partnership, according to WWD. They do collaborate with a selection of celebrities but this is very different because their deal with Beyonce is 50-50 joint venture.
“I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business. I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting, and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”
Now the street style clothing line does not have a name just yet but sources say that Phillip Green is currently in the process of creating a team to work for Bey’s Line that will include designers and creative directors. Unfortunately, the clothing line will not be available for the holidays this year but is set to possibly launch in stores Fall 2015.
