Gen. 50:20 ‘You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.’

I am listening to the story of Joseph on the audio bible and am astonished with the hardships that he encountered just by telling his brothers about his dream.  He experienced being beaten, unjust imprisonment, a rape accusation, etc…

When I went through the pain of my divorce several years ago, all I could focus on was the harm done by the other person.  In that moment, which I can remember vividly, hurt, blame and confusion was imminent.  “I tried to be a good wife.  Why did this happen to me?  I was loyal and faithful, supportive….and now this? Why Lord, why?”

The issues that occur during our most devastating times are met with those questions and uncertainties and not until we are able to get through them do we fully see that what someone may have done to harm me, “God intended it all for good.”  How did I know that I, like Joseph, would hopelessly struggle through that time but see the best life ever afterwards?

I didn’t see how I could be happy again, didn’t see how I could ever experience peace again…but GOD allowed me to experience a greater love more than what I could’ve ever imagined!!!

He held me through the tough times and believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.  He kept me when my faith faltered over and over again.  He saw way beyond what my limited viewpoint could ever see and do exceedingly, abundantly above all that I could ask or think’ (para Eph3:20).

Please hear this dear friends: The ill intentions of people, the mistakes made by others, the hurt inflicted by those you held near will soon fade.

The realization is that not only will God heal your broken heart, he will give you double for all trouble!    #askme #imalivingtestimony #toGodbetheglory
