If you’re going to McDonald’s on this Tax Day 2015, be aware that fast-food workers around the country, including those here in Indy, plan on walking off the job. That might slow your time to get a burger and fries. This “Fight for $15” will include college campuses such as IUPUI.
Rallies for better pay are planned in 230 cities today, starting with a dawn protest at a McDonald’s in Brooklyn. Organizers say a recent announcement by McDonald’s that they plan to raise wages to $9 an hour may not apply to 90-percent of its locations, which are operated independently.
