Whoopi Goldberg got a little frustrated on The View yesterday when guest host Sara Haines posed a question about race, while discussing diversity in Hollywood.

Haines said, “I’ve heard that you don’t say the term ‘African-American,’ you just call people ‘black’ now.”  Haines continued, “So I should just call you black?”  Goldberg responded, “You should just call me Whoopi!”

Goldberg told viewers to refrain from tweeting, and went on to state why she doesn’t like the use of “American” as a suffix when describing someone’s race.  Goldberg said, “Every time you hyphenate ‘American,’ any time you put something in front of it, it’s like you’re not a real American.”  Goldberg continued, “Well, I’m a whole lot of all-American!”
