Lamar Sally, the ex-husband of Sherri Shepherd, says she has made his life a “living hell.” About three months ago, the court decided that the former co host of The View must uphold her and Sally’s surrogacy contract. Sally who is raising 1-year-old LJ says she continues to refuse to acknowledge their son.
The court may have decided that Shepherd is a legal guardian of LJ, but she isn’t backing down and is asking the Supreme Court to reverse the decision. Shepherd has not been a part of LJ’s life, as the couple split before the he was born.
Sally says Shepherd has never even seen baby LJ, and she refused to go to the hospital when he was born. He also says that he even sent her a Christmas card, and she sent it back.
Sally says, “It hurts now because when she’s on TV, she will refer to him as ‘Lamar’s child.’ I’m like, ‘This is our son. This is our baby.’ So it’s very hurtful that she doesn’t recognize him in public or private.”
Sally continues, “Sherri has literally made my life a living hell as far as what she has done to my reputation in the media, what she has put me through. I am $100k in debt because of this with lawyer fees.”
Sally says LJ is a very happy baby, and he doesn’t understand why Shepherd wouldn’t want to be a part of his life. A reality show centered around Sally being a single father to LJ is in the works. He hopes that the show will help rebuild his reputation, as well as tell his side of the story. You can read more on the story here.
