Chicago Mass Choir receives Key to the City of Murfreesboro, TN
-September 24th Proclaimed-“Chicago Mass Choir Day”
When Chicago Mass Choir performed in Tennessee, September 24th-25th, they had no idea they would also be honored by the citizens and Mayor of the city of Murfreesboro, TN.
To their surprise, Mayor Shane McFarland of Murfreesboro, TN presented Chicago Mass Choir with the Key to the City and proclaimed, September 24th, “Chicago Mass Choir Day”.
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, SHANE MCFARLAND, MAYOR of the CITY OF MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE on behalf of the entire City Council do hereby proclaim September 24, 2016 as a day to recognize the CHICAGO MASS CHOIR”
Chicago Mass Choir members were overwhelmed with excitement and honored to receive this illustrious recognition from the city of Murfreesboro, TN.
The state of Tennessee was Chicago Mass Choir’s final stop on their Summer of Praise Tour and they gained memories and musical moments, that will be forever cherished.
Continue to support and celebrate with Chicago Mass Choir as they attend the 47th Annual Dove Awards on October 11th and celebrate their two illustrious nominations. (Traditional Gospel Song of the Year and Traditional Gospel Album of the Year)
