“PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE AS EARLY AS 8:30AM TO RECIEVE YOUR BACKPACKS AND TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OTHER FREE SERVICES OFFERED!
Join us for our Annual Back to School Block Party!
As with every year, this year’s event will distribute over 2000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in grades K-12! Pre-register to guarantee your kids get a backpack for this school year! Each ticket= 1 Backpack, be sure to get tickets for each student in your household! They must be with you on the day of the event to receive their backpack.
This year, we will not only have a LIVE DJ, FREE FOOD, FAMILY FUN, FREE CHILDREN’S SHOES, AND FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS, we will also have the URBAN FARMERS MARKET! Come and purchase fresh produce from local farmers ( some accept EBT!), food products, clothing, jewelry, and connect with community partners!
We look forward to seeing you there!
This community outreach event was attended by over 2500 individuals in 2017.
Backpacks and schools supplies were distributed to over 2000 area students.
Contributions defray the expenses of providing backpacks, school supplies, educational flyers and materials, food and entertainment to Block Party guests. The backpacks and supplies lessen the economic burden of adequately preparing children for school.
