He’s been hard at work since the first week in January as the newest US Senator from Indiana. I sat down over the weekend with Senator Joe Donnelly and talked about a wide range of issues.  The Senator told about his trip to Afghanistan to visit our troops and the concern he has about the rise in military suicides and making sure our troops get the mental health assistance they may need.  The Senator and I talked about the recent revelations about the NSA tracking phone calls and internet use and how to protect civil liberties while keep America safe from terror plots like Boston or worse like 9-11.  Sen. Donnelly also talked about jobs, the economy, the upcoming farm bill and fighting to maintain food stamp assistance.  We also talked about the upcoming implementation of the Affordable Care Act and how to make sure the law works and not place part time workers at risk. And the Senator talked extensively about immigration reform and his position on the legislation now moving through the Senate.  Click the Arrow to Hear the Interview with Sen. Joe Donnelly.
