In a case that has captivated the entire community;  four former Carmel High School student athlete basketball players were charged by a Hamilton County Grand Jury and the Hendricks County prosecutor with assaulting at least three male freshmen members of the basketball team.

The four players charged, all seniors, have been expelled from the school are Oscar Falodun, Brandon Hoge, Robert Kitzinger and Scott Laskowski. The four, who are all over 18 and thus charged as adults are facing charges of Battery and Criminal recklessness, all “A” or “B” misdemeanors.

Two of the three victims in this case, are African-American. And one of the alleged perpetrators, Oscar Falodun, is African-American.

All four are facing Hamilton County charges and two; Hoge and Kitzinger are facing charges in Hendricks County for an assault that occurred on a Carmel High School bus while returning from a basketball game last January.

“A”: misdemeanors carry a maximum penalty of a year in jail; “B” misdemeanors carry a 180 day in jail maximum.
