In their first meeting with the media since joining the Indianapolis Colts last Friday, many of the players were friendly, but most were businesslike.

Kevin Thomas, however, was a little giddy.

“The Indianapolis Colts-They’re America’s teams,” said the cornerback from USC, drafted by the Colts in the third round of the NFL Draft.

During the next few days, however, that enthusiasm was curbed when Thomas suffered a serious knee injury during the final workout which the Colts said today could threaten his avaliablitly for 2010 NFL season.

The team also said on Friday that surgery has already been scheduled for Thomas, who was a second-team All Pac 10 in 2009.
