OHIO — Williams-Bolar was convicted of falsifying records so that her children could attend a better school. Governor John Kasich has asked the Ohio State Parole Board to review the case.

Williams-Bolar’s case has catapulted a national debate about educational equality in America, with some painting the mother as a hero, and others seeing her as a thief.
