About Belinda:
“Belinda Drake was born and raised in Gary, IN and she made it a point to thrive in spite of her environment. Belinda strives to be a great role model for her family. She graduated from IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis) with her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. As a senior at IUPUI, Belinda was able to start her political career as an intern with Congressman Andre Carson and she continued her community engagement as part of the Indianapolis Public Allies. As a Public Ally, she partnered with Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center, as a City Engagement Curriculum Coordinator….
….As City-County Councilwoman for District 13, Belinda will work hard to make sure that the needs of her community are heard. Belinda will be voice for the 13th district of Indianapolis. Belinda plans to work with the council and mayor of Indianapolis to help improve the lives of all communities in the city of Indianapolis.
